Media in Germany and Austria do not insist on full implementation of the “Minsk-2″

BRUSSELS, July 11 - RIA Novosti, Alexander Shishlo. Germany and Austria will no longer insist on the full implementation of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine and in favor of gradual abolition of the EU sanctions against Russia, writes the information portal EurActiv.

“The German and Austrian foreign ministers said the EU sanctions against Russia should be phased out as far as the peace process, abandoning the earlier position that sanctions can be lifted only when the Minsk peace plan is fully implemented,” - media wrote.

Council of the EU on July 1 has extended sanctions against Russia until January 31, 2017. European politicians have repeatedly noted that the restrictions will be lifted only after the Minsk agreements.

In accordance with the Minsk Agreement, Kiev until the end of 2015 was to carry out the constitutional reform. Its key elements were to be decentralized and the adoption of the law on the special status of the Donetsk and Lugansk regions. However, as noted in Moscow and Kiev were unable or unwilling to meet these agreements.

As for Moscow, it will underline the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, can only exert pressure on the conflicting parties. The Kremlin is absurd to link the sanctions of the West with the implementation of the Minsk agreements, since Russia is not a party to the conflict and the subject of the Minsk agreements on Ukraine.
