Yanukovych sued for unfulfilled campaign promises

In early July 2011 before the Supreme Administrative Court of Ukraine joined a lawsuit against President Viktor Yanukovych, in which the plaintiff asks to recognize illegal inactivity president.

As the “Cause”, the court must evaluate whether the legal fact that so far in Ukraine introduced tax breaks for small businesses for a period of 5 years.

This initiative was announced in the election program of President as far back as 2009-2010. Also requires the plaintiff to reduce the VAT to 17% from 1 January 2011, the income tax - up to 19% from 1 January 2011. These changes also contained a program of presidential candidate Viktor Yanukovych.

In addition, the current head of state promised transition to contract army on January 1, 2011 - this is also stated in the lawsuit.

At the same time filed a lawsuit demands to oblige the president within a month from the date of entry into force of the court without delay to the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine the draft laws on the introduction of tax holidays and reduced VAT, and the soldiers going on a contract basis.
