“Afghans” was torn down a fence and broke into the square in front of the Verkhovna Rada

On Tuesday, in Kiev, veterans of the “Afghans” and the liquidators of the Chernobyl accident have made another attempt to storm Parliament, protesting against the authorities’ intention to reduce the benefits under the pretext of shortage of money in the budget.

Demonstrators in Kiev was not so much as in past times - about 1,000 people, mostly elderly people. They unfurled banners “Union Chernobyl against the abolition of privileges,” “There is no change in the law of Chernobyl”, etc.

A few minutes ago, protesters broke through the iron fence that is installed around the Parliament - the police failed to contain the protesters.

After that, people ran out into the square in front of the Rada, but the soldiers, “Golden Eagle” immediately blocked the main entrance to the parliament, where MPs usually go.

At the same time the protesters on the other side of the building force broke another section of iron fence.

Now on the square in front of Parliament is a crowd of protesters. Meeting of the Parliament has not yet begun.

Protesters demand that they be left speaker of the Verkhovna Rada, the Prime Minister or President.
