Putin in a telephone conversation warned the EU on Ukraine's problems with payment of gas and possible supply disruptions in Europe

Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin on Sunday in a telephone call informed the Prime Minister of Sweden, the Presidency of the EU on Ukraine's problems with payment of Russia's gas and its transit to European consumers.

The head of the Swedish Government has promised to bring the concerns of Russia to the attention of the European Commission.

"During the meeting, Vladimir Putin focused on the incoming leadership of the EU, including through official channels from Kiev, the signals of potential problems with payment of gas supplies", - the spokesperson of the Government of Russia.
