Ukrainian teachers sent to a psychiatrist

Teaching staff of Ukraine will have to undergo preventive examination by a psychiatrist.

This was reported by Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Crimea Vitalina Dzoz, quoted by news agency E-Crimea.

This is provided by the Cabinet of Ministers.
Dzoz told that the decision has caused mixed reactions among educators, many of them took it as a personal insult.
Crimean minister stressed that the visit to a psychiatrist in no way different from visits to other doctors.
“After we go through the examination for TB, chest x-rays do. In the natural order of things should be a check and mental status of the teacher,” - said Dzoz.
She also believes that parents are unlikely to want to have their child’s teacher was a man with a fragile psyche.
In the last academic year, visiting a psychiatrist was not included in the list of preventive examinations for teachers, but the following year, teachers will be required to pass through it.
