Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, sentenced to seven years in prison, deported from the remand prison to the colony, told RIA Novosti on Friday aide Prison Service of Ukraine Ihor Andrushko.

“Tymoshenko was transferred from the detention center,” - said Andrushko.

No other details he said.

According to the Ukrainian edition of the “Ukrainian Truth”, the former prime minister was sent to one of the colonies of the Kharkiv region. According to a source publication, Tymoshenko is located three hours from the colony, where it already offers. She started deported approximately 5:00 am Friday. Former prime minister transported in a wheelchair, because it alone can not move.

According to the source, the colony also have prepared a carriage to transport the former prime minister.

Court in Kiev in October sentenced arrested in August Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for abuse of authority by signing gas contracts between “Naftogaz of Ukraine” and “Gazprom”. Protection of former prime minister appealed against the verdict, but in December the Court of Appeal aside the verdict.

Court of Appeals on Thursday announced its full decision on the appeal against the sentence on Tymoshenko “gas business”. The court found unreasonable application of ex-premier and her lawyers that, during the pretrial and trial it was denied the right to protection.
