Draft gas agreement with Ukraine provides for the transfer to Russia gas transportation system

Kiev will be obliged to guarantee the integrity "of objects of gas transportation system (GTS), owned by Russia's side and placed on the territory of Ukraine. Wording Russia included in its draft of a new intergovernmental agreement on gas cooperation with Ukraine, the newspaper "Young Ukraine". Now, the whole GTS is owned by the Ukraine and can not be transferred to the ownership of another state, so it is unclear what, exactly as described in the document.

Earlier, Prime Minister of Russia Vladimir Putin has declared that Gazprom could take part in the privatization of Ukrainian gas transportation system, if the decision to sell the asset to take the Government. Ukrainian officials have stated repeatedly that they intend to keep TCU in the state.

The draft intergovernmental agreement, prepared by the Russians, also states that "the Ukrainian side also ensures that the property … can not be subjected to forced removal," Notes "Obkom. All disputes over the ownership of such facilities will be considered Russia's court, and his decision is "final and binding on the parties."
