Poll: majority of Ukrainians do not believe that the authorities are able to establish relations with Russia

More than 71% of Ukrainians are ready to support civic initiatives aimed at the development of Ukrainian-Russian relations, the data suggest a poll, presented at the press conference, Chairman of the socio-political association “Ukrainian forum”, an academician of the National Academy of Sciences Vladimir Seminozhenko.

According to the survey, nearly half of Ukrainians (49,1%) believe that relations between Ukraine and Russia worsened. However, people do not believe that government can make positive changes in this direction. Thus, 40.7% of respondents believe that the parliament and the government may worsen Ukraine-Russia cooperation in the economic and humanitarian spheres, and 19,5% of respondents do not expect any steps in this direction.
