Yushchenko said that the NATO military bases in Ukraine will not

NATO military bases will not be on Ukrainian territory after the country joined the alliance, because it contradicts the Constitution of Ukraine, President Viktor Yushchenko said on Thursday at the National Forum of intellectuals.

In early April in Bucharest will host the NATO summit, which could be considered the application, in particular, Ukraine to join the Membership Action Plan (MAP) at NATO.

“Someone is circulating a fable that will be NATO military base in Sevastopol - will not be that base. Read carefully the Constitution, which clearly cemented the fact that the Ukrainian military base in the territory of any foreign country or bloc will not” — Yushchenko said.
