Stillborn language? Stillborn people … The language problem is still relevant for Ukraine

Nineteen years of Ukrainian independence, five of whom were under the sign language of shock therapy (if not the usual terror) President Viktor Yushchenko, did not solve the problem of objectively existing in a young society, but even exacerbated it.

I remember Kiev early 90’s: the Ukrainian language was more, the Ukrainian language was clearer and much closer to the literary Ukrainian language, which we heard in school, our reading of the classics.

Today everything has changed, and - for the worse. Instead of taking root in positive ground resuscitated the nation, the Ukrainian language somehow got lost in the background of the “great and powerful and that much worse - dissolved in it, further reinforcing the position of repulsive Surzhikov, which, however, has always been.

Moreover, Kiev is not the worst in the list of Ukrainian cities, largely due to the mass of students, which, like a kind of brotherhood guards the Ukrainian language in a natural pure form. If you delve into the regions, the situation will Akhova. If the East of the country as he said, and spoke in Russian, the Center and South, less Crimea - a real hotbed Surzhikov, used mass and everywhere.

By and large, apart from Kiev, the Ukrainian language actually exists and lives only in the West of Ukraine, and then - let’s not take account of Transcarpathia, where mixed dozens and dozens of languages and dialects.

In the dry residue, we obtain a maximum of one third of the country. Comments here would be superfluous.

Why is this happening? Stillborn whether the Ukrainian language, or is it simply, we do wrong, stillbirth society? Sorry, but frankly, the man who does not know any language, can not be called a man, because it is deprived of its most important social identity. How many nedolyudey in Ukraine? Millions? Half of the country?

I do not consider myself to those who believe that the Ukrainian language is not in principle. He was, is and will remain, regardless of the name of the President, and the policy of the country. Ukrainian language held, if only because that survived
