Snowfall is de-energized in Ukraine 1,5 thousand towns and villages

In Ukraine, because of heavy snowfall over the past day, with no light left more than 1,5 thousand settlements in 15 regions, the country’s Emergencies Ministry said. Hardest-hit Vinnitsa, Kiev, Zhitomir, Poltava, Chernigov, Cherkassy and Kirovograd region.

Forces Emergency assist in clearing roads of felled trees, the release of cars from snow. First aid is available ambulances and mail.

In Kiev disabled 52 transformer substations, of which work 20 has been restored. In order to resume electricity supply of settlements and power lines brought about 4 thousand and 1,5 thousand units of equipment including 250 lifeguards.

To clear roads involved about 3 thousand employees of the regional road management and more than 1,5 thousand vehicles. In rail transport, there have been cases of deviation from the schedules for trains in the area Vasylkiv - Boyarka South-Western Railway. 40 trains were late. At this time the railway is functioning normally.

In connection with the complication of the weather division of the Main Control MOE of Ukraine in Kyiv already day working in emergency mode. During this time, rescued people in three cars caught under fallen trees.
