Head of the Secretariat Yushchenko accused of smuggling cars and vodka

Communist deputies of the Verkhovna Rada Spiridon Kilinkarov proposed a special commission of inquiry which would investigate the activities of senior officials from the President Viktor Yushchenko. The draft resolution on the establishment of this commission, as the “Ukrainian Truth” has already been registered in the Ukrainian parliament.

Among those whom the deputy as being involved in corruption crimes, were the head of the Presidential Secretariat Viktor Baloga and his brother Ivan, who is deputy governor of Transcarpathian region. First, inter alia, accused in the smuggling of motor vehicles and alcoholic beverages, as well as the realization of confiscated illegal.

wrongful acts, which, according to the deputy Communist Party, head of the Secretariat involved Yushchenko, were allegedly committed in the late 1990’s, when Viktor Baloga served as mayor of Mukachevo.

Sources on which the member to make such accusations are not named. It is known that in the explanatory memorandum, he refers to certain publications in the media.

Viktor Baloga has served as Secretary of President of Ukraine since 2006, previously he worked as the mayor of Mukachevo, as well as supervised administration of the Transcarpathian region. In February 2008, Baloga out of the presidential party, Our Ukraine. According to some reports, he will build a new political party.
