Oh, it wants to join NATO! Yushchenko expels the Black Sea Fleet

On the eve of the Head of State Viktor Yushchenko instructed the Cabinet of Ministers until July 20 to prepare a bill to end in 2017 with the operation of treaties on the temporary stay of the fleet in the country. This is stated in the decree number 463/2008 of 20 May, the text of which was published on Wednesday on the official website of the president.

Thus, this ordinance Viktor Yushchenko has introduced a decision of the Council of National Security and Defense Council of May 16 “On measures to ensure Ukraine’s development as a maritime nation.” As stated in the document, “the president instructed the government within two months to take action on a comprehensive assessment of the effects of temporary stay of the fleet in Ukraine.”

As you know, under a bilateral treaty, Russia’s Black Sea Fleet is located on the territory of Ukraine until 2017. However, Kiev has insisted that after that date, he should not remain in the country.
